Cushman & Wakefield, a global leader in commercial real estate services, is pleased to announce the appointment of Simon Cox as National Director, for its Asset Services platform across Australia.
Simon will be responsible for leading Cushman & Wakefield’s asset services capabilities across the Queensland market, in addition to playing a key role to expand the company’s major institutional clients’ nationally. Simon will report to both Sam Cuccurullo, Head of Asset Services Asia Pacific, and Glen Wright, Managing Director Queensland.
With an impressive reputation and track record as one of the country’s most seasoned Property and Asset Management leaders, Simon has over 30 years of experience in the industry and was formerly National Director – Real Estate Management and Head of Sustainability at Colliers. In this role he was responsible for building and leading the company’s Queensland Real Estate Management business, and part of the national business development team. Simon was also Head of Sustainability, a role in which he drove innovation and efficiency practices into their Real Estate Management services. Prior to Colliers, Simon has held senior positions at Investa Property Group as a Senior Asset Manager, and was also a Director IPM at Knight Frank for over 15 years.

Simon’s experience covers all facets of property and asset management and he has represented key clients including Heathley Asset Management, Abacus Property Group, Metcash, Westfield, ISPT, 360 Capital, Fortius, QGC, BHP and Garda Capital. In addition he has also represented major private groups including Morris Property Group, Raptis Investments and Savio Family.
Simon will work closely with Scott Langford Director, Asset Services. Scott will be focussed on growing the private asset services client base, further complementing the company’s growth strategy. Both Scott and Simon will join the National Asset Services Executive Committee and play key leadership roles across the business with other recent Asset Services appointments including Dino Mancini, Cos Raco and Ho-Yen Fan.
