On Thursday 19th October, the Cushman & Wakefield NZ Post FM team in Wellington joined forces with members of the NZ Post Properties team for their annual Volunteer Day. This year the team helped out at Ronald McDonald House in Wellington.
Established in 1989, Ronald McDonald House Charities New Zealand (RMHC) is the country’s leading family charity and they work tirelessly to take care of Kiwi families throughout their children’s medical journeys. RMHC is a non-profit organisation that helps seriously ill children and their families and relies on volunteers to help achieve their objectives of directly improving the health and well-being of children.
The team rolled up their sleeves and got stuck into a full round of bed changing, full laundry (Washing/Sorting/Folding) duties for the facility, cooking / baking lunch for all the families staying at Ronald McDonald House and wrapping presents in time for Christmas.
The day was a great success and follows in the footsteps of previous volunteer days for the Department of Conservation, Zealandia and Wellington Zoo.
